Biodiversity Week
Green Schools is an committee that works to make the school a more environmentally conscious place. Promoting long-term, whole school action for the environment the Green Schools team is made up of a strong student team across all year groups in the school.

This week, Borris College Green-schools committee as well as our 5th year Art students attended Borris Library for the launch of the "Landscapes of Inspration and Imagination - Musings from the Blackstairs Mountains" book created in Collaboration with The Heritage Council and Carlow County Council.
Thank you to Shane Casey, the Biodiversity Officer of Carlow County Council for producing this wonderful resource along with the Heritage Council. Also a big thank you to Carlow County Libraries and to Borris Library for agreeing to host our launch and to exhibit our book and individual pieces of Artwork for the next month for the public. Thank you to Mr Liam Carroll from the Department of Environment of Carlow County Council and to Cllr Tommy Kinsella for officially opening the launch. We have several 5th year Art student's artwork featured in the book as well as pieces from our own Art teacher Ms. Lorraine Brett.
