Additional Autism Special Class Opening in September 2026

Borris College is pleased to announce that the National Council of Special Education has sanctioned an additional autism special class for Borris College. This class will open in September 2026.

A Board of Management meeting was held on the 5th of May 2026 to ratify both the admissions policy and the admissions notice. Parents/Guardians of any eligible students are welcome to apply in the upcoming admissions window which is available to view on the school’s website. This development supersedes the waiting list which was created for the autism special class in November 2025 for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Borris College is extremely proud of all our students’ achievements. We work hard every day in collaboration with our partners to ensure we provide an inclusive education for all. We were affirmed earlier in 2026 with the findings of an inspection report which evaluated our Autism Special Classes. We wish to acknowledge the great work of all educational partners in providing the highest level of education possible for all our students.
